Founder & Director, Cherish Homes

Shenika Bell is the Founder and Director of Cherish Homes, a mission-driven organization

committed to providing safe, nurturing, and structured housing for youth and young adults

impacted by foster care, housing instability, and unmet support needs. Her leadership is

grounded in compassion, lived experience, and a deep commitment to community care.

Before launching Cherish Homes, Shenika worked as a mentor for individuals with mental

disabilities, supporting daily living skills, emotional development, and personal growth.

This hands-on experience shaped her trauma-informed approach and continues to influence

the supportive environment Cherish Homes provides.

As a licensed foster care parent, Shenika has firsthand experience navigating the child

welfare system. She has provided stability, advocacy, and guidance to children during

critical life transitions—fueling her passion to create long-term solutions that extend

beyond temporary placements.

Shenika is also an entrepreneur, bringing strategic leadership and operational insight to

build sustainable, compliant, and impactful programs. She is a Certified Medication

Technician, ensuring that resident health, safety, and wellness remain a top priority within

residential care settings.

Her work extends beyond her professional roles into charitable service and community

outreach. Shenika has supported organizations such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

and Covenant House, and has actively participated in efforts to feed members of the

homeless community, addressing immediate needs while promoting dignity and

compassion.

Through Cherish Homes, Shenika Bell leads with a clear and purposeful vision: to create

spaces where individuals are not only housed, but truly seen, supported, and empowered to

thrive. She believes that with the right structure, care, and opportunity, lives can be

restored and futures transformed.
